Police are currently investigating a murder incident at Vella La Vella, in the Western Province in relation to the death of a 19-year old woman who was allegedly murdered by her husband over a domestic violence incident.
Police at Gizo have arrested a 24-year old man from Karakara village, Vella La Vella following the incident and has been remanded at Gizo police station since the weekend.
Police investigations have yet to establish the motive for the alleged murder as police investigations are still underway.
The general public is once more urged to stop the increasing domestic violence incidences, that have greatly affected family members of the victims. The deceased in the Vella Lavella incident has left behind a 7-year old.
