THE Franjti Shipping Ltd’s new passenger vessel, MV Auki Express, successfully made its first passenger voyage to Auki, Malaita Province, yesterday.
Auki Express broke the record as the fastest passenger vessel to ever serve the Honiara- Auki route with only two hours running time between Honiara and Auki.
Passengers who travelled onboard MV Auki Express in its first ever voyage have spoken highly of the new passenger vessel expressing great delight to travel aboard the clean, fast, and comfortable passenger vessel on in its first ever passenger trip.
Speaking to Solomon Star Auki on its historical voyage, ship owner Joy Isihanua expressed satisfaction over the addition of MV Auki Express ship to her existing fleet of two cargo vessels, MV Florence and Ocean Joy. The MV Auki Express will concentrate on the Honiara-Auki route.

MV Auki Express yesterday left Honiara Wharf at 9:00am on her first trip to Auki and arrived in the provincial township at around 11:00am. It left Auki at 2pm and arrived back in Honiara at 4pm on the same day (yesterday).
With its first successful trip to Auki, many locals have taken to social media to congratulate Franjti Shipping Ltd for its milestone achievement.
