The national netball team will play a friendly against Honiara netball side, Isa Purple this afternoon at Lawson Tama Netball Court.
Isa Purple is a team competing in the Honiara Netball Association (HNA) league’s Super Division.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 5pm kick off and it serves as a trial for the national netball side.
The trial is part of the selection process as they aim to trim down the size of the training squad in preparation for this year’s Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu.
Netball is one of the codes representing Solomon Islands at the regional sporting event scheduled to take place from December 4 to 15 in Port Vila.
Yesterday, the team was supposed to play its first test match against a select side from the recently completed Avaiki Inter-Ward Netball Championship but due to some reasons, the game did not take place.
The friendly against the Avaiki Select Side has been rescheduled for next week.
