THE Solomon Islands National Beach Soccer ‘Bilikiki; training squad has been named following the successful staging of the 2016 Solomon Games Beach Soccer tourney on Monday.
Twenty players have been selected from within the 6 participating provincial competing beach soccer teams.
Beach Eagles have the highest inclusion of players which is six, followed by the Western Kikios with five, three from Lauru, and two each from Guadalcanal, Honiara, and Renbel.
Selected Players for the train on squad are;
Malaita: Roy Mafane, Fa’ari Iro, Eric Tom, Alen Farobo, Peter Thompson, and Billy Mae.
Western: Steven Tanito, Leny Bana, Ezekiel Mudi, Roby Savakana, and Ben Basi.
Lauru: Waxson Pop, Bennet Vilaka, and Andrew Saomae.
Guadalcanal: Maravon Matebasi and Roger Bulehite.
Honiara: Luke Kabitana and Clement Liliomea.
Renbel: Morgan Temoa and Jerry Taungenge.
In a meeting scheduled for the twenty players and former Bilikiki squad members at the SIFF Academy yesterday, the players were briefed on when the trainings will commence.
They were being told that two tours are being arranged for Australia and Vanuatu where the final team will be announced.
Meanwhile, the players were given two weeks break and the trials and the selection of a new Bilikiki squad will commence afterwards.
