East Kwaio will take delivery of a new landing craft today in Honiara.
This was revealed by a constituency officer to the paper.
This is part of an effort by the Member of Parliament (MP) for East Kwaio Stanley Sofu in fulfilling the dreams of the people in his constituency, who have longed to have a boat that could transport their goods easily to and from Honiara.
The constituency officer who is a close relative of the MP said the ship takes two weeks to sail from Korea to Noro, in the Western Province.
It arrived in Noro on Monday and is expected to arrive in Honiara today.
