A FISHERY centre build at Tambea in Northwest Guadalcanal will be opened for use.
This was confirmed by a contractor Richard Ubua who builds the centre.
Speaking to the Solomon Star’s Northwest Guadalcanal stringer, John Toki, Mr Ubua said that the centre will be opened soon in three months time.
He added this fisheries centre is for the rural fishermen and women to store their fish before selling them at the markets.
Mr Ubua said the centre will be looked after the ministry of fisheries.
“It took us to seven months now to build this house due to delay of materials.”
Mr Ubua said, Member of Parliament for Northwest Guadalcanal is funding the centre.
