Construction work at the new look multi-purpose hall site is progressing well, the Honiara City Council has reported.
The Contractor has progressed construction on site over the Christmas and New Year period, despite some interruptions due to poor weather.
Foundation preparations for the Hall extension, Youth Centre and Performance stage are underway, with the steel structure for the new multi-sport courts almost complete.
The next stage of construction will see concrete being poured for the foundation slabs, which will be a milestone for the project, making the programme less susceptible to wet weather.
The project partners thank community stakeholders and members of the public for your continued support and cooperation as the project progresses into 2020.
The upgrades to the Multi-purpose Hall are being delivered through a partnership between the Honiara City Council and the New Zealand Aid Programme.
