THE NEWLY elected speaker for the Malaita Provincial Assembly Titus Fika urges members of the assembly to work together.
Speaking after he was sworn in yesterday, Mr Fika said “as a Malaitan, I want this term to be a special one known for working together”.
“We can only achieve our plans and goals if we work together honestly and diligently for the betterment of our province.”
He said it was evident throughout the country that Malaita was mismanaged which resulted in lack of developments and delivery of services to people.
The new speaker thanked members for their confidence which resulted in entrusting him with the speaker’s responsibility.
