THE newly appointed Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) board got a briefing this week from the authority’s management.
Sources informed the Solomon Star CEO Colin Yow and his did a presentation to update new chairman Billy Titiulu and his board.
Ministry of Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary, Henry Murray confirmed the board was briefed on Tuesday.
He said there were no specific agenda of discussion but thorough updates of the progresses made so far by the SIPA management.
“I understand there are issues of interest that the public may want to know including the reform program, terminated employees, SIPA rice import to mention a few,” Mr Murray said.
“We did meet but these issues are yet to be looked into and discussed,” he added.
Board chairman Mr Titiulu has not answered his phone when contacted for comments.
