Solomon Islands National University SINU has taken another another milestone in its development. The implementation of the Student Management System project of the SINU officially began.
A statement from SINU said, the project was officially started by Anand Chukka, Project / Implementation Manager & Principal Consultant from Technology One.
“This was followed by a visit on Tuesday 16th June 2015 by Mr. Paul Stapleton, Regional Manager – South Pacific and Mr. Darin Godden, Customer Development Manager, Solomon Islands to have discussions with the SINU Senior Management team. “The purpose of the visit was to make initial assessment of the readiness of SINU to begin with the project and to put both the TechnologyOne and SINU systems in place to manage the project.”
Senior management of TechnologyOne assured the SINU senior management that they are happy to support SINU achieving this milestone.
The Chairperson to the SINU Council, Sir Nathaniel Waena, speaking at the luncheon provided for the team by TechnologyOne, said that it is history in the making and is the beginning of change to advance technologically at SINU. , whilst
It is envisaged that when this project is completed, Students will benefit from the online enrolment and registration features and SINU will be better equipped to manage and support students from enrolment to graduation.
Further, relevant data sets will be available for the planning and development of facilities and courses.
