THE Niuleni Community Music Ministry (NCMM), one of the largest singing choirs of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church has arrived back in Honiara after participating in the weeklong centenary celebrations in Viru, Western province.
The NCMM were invited to take part in the celebrations which marked 100 years since the gospel of the Church first landed on the shores of Viru.
Speaking upon their arrival, NCMM President, Ms Helen Molea said that it was indeed a blessed week of celebrations, adding that the group had enjoyed their time providing music throughout the entire week.
“We are a group that love praising God with our gospel music, especially when it is sung in our own Lau dialect.
“However since arriving in Viru, we had indeed enjoyed it even more as our fellow Church members in the Western province who had come for the program also did love the songs that we presented.
“Not only that but we really enjoyed being part of such a historical event,” Ms Molea said.
She added that for the group members will return to spend time with their families, however adding that practice sessions will resume soon as there are more programs lined up for them in the coming weeks.
“We have a very tight schedule in front of us and glad to say that every member is just so excited when and where our next program will be.
“We are just so happy and looking forward to praising God again wherever we go,” Ms Molea said.
