There are still no additional arrests made after the only arrest done by the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in relation to the Mbike Islands shooting last December.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast told the local media on Thursday.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing and the Commissioner decline to say much.
However, he calls on the general public to work closely with the RSIPF concerning this matter.
“I will not say too much on this issue because it is an ongoing police investigation. What I would like to say is that, if anyone have any information regarding this issue please come forward and report it to the Police,” Mr Prendergast said.
He added, that he was very happy with the progress of the investigation and would like to see more people with information to come forward and report to the Police.
“I’m very happy with how the investigation is progressing and if more people are coming in with information, the police will be successful with the investigation,” the Commissioner added.
Meanwhile, given that nature of the incident and how serious it was, his officers are working tirelessly to bring those that are involved to face justice.
