No arrest has been made yet in relation to the death of a man whose body was found at the Lunnga river mouth, East of Honiara early this month.
Acting Police Chief Mostyn Mangau said they are relying on information from the public to assist the police investigation into this incident.
“I cannot provide you with details as to whether or not we received information but I still call on the community to come forward if they have any information on the issue of the dead body found at Lunga River,” Mr. Mangau said when asked if police had received feedbacks from calls he made for information into this incident.
“At this time I can assure you that there were no arrests being made yet,” he added.
He said police are still waiting for the post mortem report.
The body of the 23-year-old man from Malaita was found at the Lungga River Mouth on the morning of February 4.
His body was already decomposed.
