POLICE say they are yet to arrest any suspect to the killing of the novice brother at Vura, North-West Guadalcanal, last week.
Commissioner Frank Prendergast said police are treating the death as “very suspicious” and investigations are on-going.
“We are pursuing a number of leads of enquiry and since that issue is still under active investigation, I can’t say anymore at this stage.”
Mr Prendergast said police are attempting to understand the circumstances surrounding the murder case and who might have been involved and take the necessary action that is required.
Late Brother Jackson Lodo of Masi Village, East Guadalcanal was killed while walking home along Vura road on North-West Guadalcanal last week by a group of men.
The recent brutal killing of a Melanesian Brother (Tasiu) of the Anglican Church of Melanesia’s Brotherhood, has shocked the Anglican community and the nation.
In the attack, his companion, a third year novice, Abraham Kelly was also badly wounded.
