Lawyers representing the three young men accused of the murder of a man at Vura 3, Honiara in 2012 will be presenting their no case to answer submissions next month.
This followed the closing of the prosecution’s case early this month in the High Court.
The no case to answer submissions will be orally presented before Justice Francis Mwanesalua on August 12, this year.
The trio, Manase Oso, Mara Kili and another accused whom was a juvenile at the time of the offending are facing one count each of murder.
They allegedly attacked a bus driver at Vura 3, Honiara on the night of April 2, 2012.
Prosecution alleged the trio attacked the deceased after he had an argument with the bus driver and another man known to the accused.
The injured bus driver was rushed to the National Referral Hospital but unfortunately died sometimes later at the hospital.
According to the autopsy report, the deceased died as a result of blunt trauma to his head.
Representing the accused are Wayne Ghemu, Henry Kausimae and Hubert Fugui of Public Solicitor’s Office while the State is represented by Crown Prosecutor Augustine Aulanga.
