WITH the election fever hitting the country, Temotu Provincial Police in Lata is yet to receive any disturbance report.
Acting Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Reginald Kava said his office did not receive any report of disturbances related to campaigning in the lead to the national general election.
Mr Kava said Lata and the surrounding communities have enjoyed peaceful campaign activities conducted by intending candidates.
He appealed to voters and intending candidates to respect each other during this period leading up to the election day which is two weeks from now.
He added that his officers are preparing for anything that may arise during this period.
Temotu Province has total of 38 candidates contesting the three constituencies. This included 23 candidates contesting for Temotu Pele, nine for Temotu Nende and six for Temotu Vatud.
