THE school of nursing at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) did not enroll any overseas students this year.
A senior nursing official at the school of nursing said this last Thursday during the university’s open day.
He said since the university opened its doors last year, few students from overseas have undertaken studies at the school of health studies.
The official said their absent this year may be related to some changes in semester courses.
However, the nurse said it would be good to have outside students coming into study at the university.
The nurse said they are looking forward for some regional students next year.
The school of nursing offered Diploma courses, Bachelor and other short courses on nursing.
The school aims to promote opportunities for all to learn and broaden their knowledge and practice to achieve their personal, professional and employment by creating an environment conclusive to effective teaching and learning.
Therefore the school provides health training through innovative education thereby promoting the health of individual groups and communities for local, national, regionaland international credibility.
