THERE were no unlawful gatherings in and around the city on Monday during the Motion of No Confidence against the Prime Minister.
Honiara City yesterday maintained calm with the support of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), the Police and Military Forces of intervention forces and local security firms’ personnel.
Only a few people were going about their daily business whilst most were stuck to their radios following the live broadcast of the Motion of No Confidence.
For many, this is a positive sign which shows that people have listened to their respective leaders’ calls to respect the process of the No Confidence Motion.
Calls were being made by leaders from the Parliament down to the communities for respect during the Motion of No Confidence.
They have reiterated calls to maintain good behavior after yesterday’s motion’s outcome which was defeated.
