The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands on behalf of the National Team Contingent representing the country at the XV Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, has express appreciation for the support rendered towards the team during their campaign in Port Moresby last month.
“We express our sincere appreciation and acknowledgement for all the moral and financial support rendered to the Team by the government, companies, stakeholders and people.
“We apologize if we do not mention any organizations or individuals who might have contributed in one way or the other, but we thank you.”
NOCSI stated that there was “Historic success” recorded by Team Solomon at the Games.
“It was reflected in the strong position by Solomon Islands on the Medal Tally. That was a manifestation of our solidarity.
“It was an achievement worthy of our celebrations. It was attained as a result of a collective financial and moral support given by all the good people of Solomon Islands, our Stakeholders and the National Government.
“It is a National Pride and will be cherished for all time to come.”
