THE traveling passengers using the longest road in Malaita, the North Road have so far happy with the condition of the road.
The 112KM road that runs from Kwara’ae in Auki through West Kwara’ae, West Fataleka, To’obaita, and Lau Mbaelelea and ended up in Baegu Asifola is in good condition for the past three months.
This makes travel faster, safe and reliable for both the traveling public and the transport providers.
Now that the road condition is good compared to the past years, passenger vehicles only take less than three hours to reach the end of the road unlike before where vehicles take about four to five hours.
Meanwhile passenger fares from Auki to the end of the road remain stable at $100 per head.
North road is the busiest road in Malaita compared to other roads linking Auki town to other parts of the province.
