Dear Editor – It has come to my understanding that the MP for North West Guadalcanal has performed a very injustice way of leadership.
It is my concern that the way he responds to me and even some other students within the constituency in terms of fee payment as some of the MPs are doing is really unfair.
I’m saying this because what special are those students that you pay their full amount of fees and neglect ours as we are also members of the constituency and you have the fund to do this?
You just neglect ours because of some reasons, which is not fair in human understanding.
I will not mention what injustice he performed, but he himself will know exactly what I meant here.
To make it worst, the reports that the Transparency Solomon Islands (TSI) produced does not reflect any good at all for the constituency.
On behalf of the constituency, I will directly say that we are very shame of what our MP did during his term in the House.
As a democratic country, we have a freedom of doing things. It’s a means for people to choose their leaders and to hold their leaders accountable for their policies and their conduct in office.
As we are the members of the constituency, we are the highest form of political authority.
Powers flow from us to you our MP as our leaders of the government that you hold the power temporarily.
We as the citizens or members of the constituency have an obligation to become informed about public issues, to watch carefully how our political leaders and representatives use their power and to express their opinions and interests.
Based on the reports produced by the TSI, I’m very sorry that within the four years in parliament, our vote does not have any voice at all in the House.
