THE deadline for Form 7 students to hand in their academic transcripts to the National Training Unit (NTU) office at Panatina campus expires on Wednesday.
This requirement is to allow the NTU to deliberate on the academic transcripts to be able to determine students’ academic potential for the awarding of scholarship to respective universities this year.
The NTU normally sends students to tertiary institutions in Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Philippines and other regional institutions.
Students eager to get scholarships were seen rushing to hand in their academic transcripts at the NTU office counter yesterday.
Students seeking extension for their studies for dropping few courses have also filed their application at the NTU office.
The Solomon Star understands most of the students seeking extension are from universities in Fiji while one case is from Solomon Islands National University..
Most academic classes in the various regional universities are expected to start early February.
