VEHICLE owners residing in northwest Guadalcanal are calling on traffic police to conduct awareness on traffic in their communities.
This call was made following increased illegal activities relating to road use.
Northwest Guadalcanal Solomon Star stringer John Toki said a number of youths during the festive period did a lot of activities that prevented vehicles from traveling freely on the road.
“There were road blocks and other unnecessary activities from Sasa to Komibo.”
Mr Toki said an awareness program will enlighten youths about traffic laws and other related laws.
He said as a result of the many unwanted activities on the main road, very few vehicles are providing service to people at the moment.
