THE Pacific Technical Advisory Team from New Zealand facilitated a two-day workshop for Honiara City Councilor (HCC) Councilors and Heads of Divisions (HODs) early last week.
The workshop held on Monday and Tuesday at the King Solomon Hotel conference room brought together key leaders and decision-makers from HCC to enhance their skills and knowledge in governance and administration.
The workshop focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Council’s operations.
The sessions covered various topics, including the key priority areas in HCC’s strategic planning, financial management, and community engagement for the next three years, providing participants with valuable insights and practical tools to better serve the people of Honiara.
Deputy Lord Mayor Clement Terewauri expressed appreciation for the workshop, stating that the knowledge gained would significantly impact their work in local governance.
He thanked the Pacific Technical Advisory Team for their dedication to come Solomon Islands to facilitate the workshop.
The event marks another step in the ongoing collaboration between New Zealand and Solomon Islands to strengthen governance and public service delivery, Deputy Mayor Terewauri said.
