THE first leg of the OFC Champions League Playoffs between Solomon Warriors FC and KOSSA FC will kick off at 4pm at Lawson Tama today.
The match is anticipated to be a tough clash between the two top Telekom S-league (TSL) teams.
The most recent meet between these two teams was on Sunday where they drew 1-1.
Warriors has had a good campaign, starting off the season with mostly experienced players and slowly transitioning their line up with the inclusion of their young academy players in the second round.
The mixture of young and old players has proven to be a catalyst to a higher performance as shown in their previous matches.
On the other hand, KOSSA is not to be ruled out as they have also proven to be a top contender for a spot in the OFC Champions League.
They have former Warriors players Gagame Feni, Benjamin Totori and Molis Gagame in their line up which is a threat to Warriors.
What makes these Playoffs more interesting is that most of the players from both sides are well versed with each other’s style of play.
Warriors current coach Franco Ne’e was KOSSA’s coach last season, so he will also be in a good position to understand how KOSSA players will play.
However, what strategy KOSSA Coach Eddie Marahare has in store for the playoffs is something to look forward to.
Entrance fees for today’s match are $20 for the grand stand and $10 for the hillside.
