OFC – The Oceania football community has mourned the loss of Sheik Mohammed Ibrahim, Senior Vice President of the Fiji Football Association
Ibrahim, 67, passed away on Thursday 12 August at C W M Hospital in Fiji following a battle with kidney disease first diagnosed in 2011.
“Sheik Mohammed Ibrahim was a proud servant of Fijian football and will be remembered as an astute administrator,” OFC President David Chung says.
“He will be remembered as a highly competent professional and as a proud Fijian. On behalf of the Oceania football community, our condolences go to the Ibrahim family and everyone connected with Fijian football at this sad time.”
Ibrahim served on the Fiji FA board for more than 30 years and was appointed as Senior Vice-President of the Fiji FA in 2011.
In his colourful career Ibrahim also served as the Fiji Primary Schools Soccer Association and Labasa Football Association President.
He was Acting President of the Fiji FA in 2011.
Sheik Mohammed Ibrahim will be laid to rest today at 4.30pm Fiji local time in Labasa.
