The Civil Aviation Authority of Solomon Islands (CAASI), the Singapore Government through His Excellency Mr Mathews, Singapore non-residence High Commissioner to the South Pacific Forum and the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force joint partnership in facilitating on-the-job-training(OJT) for the Airport police at the Honiara International Airport to train in Singapore for a week.
In a statement yesterday CAASI said, this partnership shows the very close working relationship between CAASI/MFAET Singapore/RSIPF.
“This is the first of many training that will be facilitated through CAASI for safety and security of the travelling public.”
The training will conducted in Singapore under the Singapore Police Force.
The four Police officers will be led by Sergeant Paul Kalea and depart for Singapore via Brisbane today.
ACP Gabriel Manelusi congratulated the officers and informed them to be good ambassadors whilst in Singapore.
“The knowledge and the skill learned will benefit Solomon Islands especially in airport security.”
