THE Government through the Ministry of Public Service (MPS) has given a three months extension for some of the remaining 168 public officers
after they have taken their first jab.
This was revealed by Secretary to Prime Minister (SPM) and vice chairman of the National Oversight Committee (NOC) Dr Jimmie Rodgers during Sunday’s talk-back show over the national broadcaster.
He confirmed more than 54 officers have self-terminated themselves after failing to comply.
However, he added some of the remaining have taken their first dose and they have been given three months extension.
“If they fail to get their second dose then it means they will self-terminate.”
He explained the ‘No Jab, No Job’ policy is like a contract for public officers who are working for government.
Dr Rodgers added vaccination is not mandatory and people have a choice to get it or not.
