SUPPORT from spectators during the current 2022 Solomon Cup tournament has been great, according to the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF).
SIFF Competitions Manager Gerald Oiaka told Star Sports yesterday that since the start of the tournament last week spectators have supported their respective provincial teams with good behavior.
Oiaka calls on all football supporters to maintain such good behavior until the end of the tournament.
“Support from spectators of the previous Solomon Cup matches has been great.
“There were no disturbances during the past matches up until now, which displays the kind of support behavior and attitude we all want.
“We call on all football supporters to keep up the good behavior as we prepare to enter the finals for this year’s Solomon Cup edition,” he said.
Oiaka added the good behavior gives women and children especially the comfort of coming out and supporting their respective provincial clubs.
The Solomon Cup tournament will conclude its group matches today with group B’s final matches.
Group A completed their group matches yesterday.
