Tourism operators on Marau, east Guadalcanal are calling on the current government to support them before their time is up.
Harrison Waruhena a tourism operator in the area told the Solomon Star over the weekend that t NCRA is about to finish its term and its important that they support operators from Marau.
“We the operators in Marau want the NCRA gov’t led by Gordon Darcy Lilo to help us through funds and training before their term ends.
“For so long we have been neglected by the government with lack of funding support for our tourism business and other essential support.”
Mr Waruhena who operates a homestay on Alite village they heard about the tourism funding which was channelled through their MP but they never received nor benefit from the funding.
They questioned how and where the funds ended up.
