THE Opposition Group of Parliament has maintained the position that Manasseh Sogavare should no longer be Prime Minister (PM).
Continuing on the reasons why this is their stance, the press statement says that the Prime Minister is a mindless, short sighted and utterly incompetent leader who if allowed to continue as PM, will destroy this country.
According to the statement, Sogavare’s own actions as set out below are clear footprints of his bad style of leadership –
- Sogavare is a slave to get rich quick schemes pinning his hopes in such to cure our economic woes. Examples are – skyline deal, promises hinged on the China Switch, USD$100billion proposed loan, wishful gold hunting missions including the confiscation of metals from Lord Howe;
- Sogavare is mentally unstable believing that guidance and advice he gets from the spirit of the dead will bless this country through his leadership; and
- Sogavare is utterly incompetent and disrespectful in leaving others to front up to matters of national interest directed at him.
The Opposition therefore conclude that these sorts of actions are characteristics of bad leadership which this country does not need in these trying times. Mr. Sogavare must go.
