OUR Telekom has signed a three years deal with Seif Ples to support its continuous programs and campaigns to minimize violence against women and girls in the country.
The agreement will see Our Telekom supporting the non-government organization to broadcast through text message campaigns to all Our Telekom customers which is well over 270,000.
Apart from mobile phones, messages can also be broadcasted via TTV.
This is strategically placed at specific times including, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and New year’s day.
“Thank you very much for such powerful support Our Telekom,” Seif Ples Gender-based Violence Crisis and Referral Centre manager Kim Abbey said.
“Your continuous support for the group shows that your interest to fight against sexual gender-based violence,” Ms Abby added.
“I believe our working together starting last year will continue to cause changes in this society.”
She added that Seif Ples Gender-based Violence Crisis and Referral Centre is working really hard to cause change to this unwanted sexual gender-based violence in the country.
Our Telekom Chief Executive Loyley Ngira said that this was part of its continuous support for the group in the country.
“The company has offered a free call service 132 for the group last year and now its text messages,” Mr. Ngira added.
He said Our Telekom is prioritizing such group to create safe society for the people of Solomon Islands to develop the roles of women.
He added that Seif Ples is more proviledge to use its awareness messages through Our Telekom upcoming TV, Mobile text messages and other services.
