The one and only red colored company known as Our Telekom will launch 13 new towers in Malaita province starting today.
The new towers were installed starting last year but due to some difficulties experienced they were unable to complete them until late last month where all of them are now ready for the official launching.
The company’s public relationship officer Lawrence Nodua who is now in Auki with a six-member delegation from Our Telekom for the launching said that this is another big achievement for the company especially in Malaita province.
He said the official launching of the towers will start today and run for several weeks until 4th September.
Today the first launching will be at Gouna Hill, West Kwaio, to be followed by Buma also in West Kwaio until all the launchings are completed.
Mobile phones will be on sale at special prizes during those launching to the mark the cerebration, Mr Nodua added.
Mr Nodua would like to urge all people and communities which will be part of the launching to come out and join the program because they will also put on awareness talks with people concerning the usage of cell phones and coverage in their areas.
Meanwhile Our Telekom is continuing working on constructing new mobile towers in the Western and Choiseul province.
