The Dreamline Car Rentals rankings for the best 20 pool players in the country has been released over the weekend.
This came after the pool challenge continues to gain popularity in the country with various weekly competitions being organised in Honiara.
According to the rankings supplied to Star Sports yesterday it was highlighted that Gus Kraus of Solomon Airlines leads the group with 55.55 points.
This was followed closely by Laps of PMO on 55.25 and Henry on third with 53.15 points.
Closely behind Henry was Kelesi another PMO player with 53.10 points and Philips got the 5th Position with 51.85 points.
John Wasi (Tourism), Francis Lomo (Aviation), Peterson Boso (Fashion de Isles),
Peter Bouyers (Blue Ocean) and Collin Sigimanu (Airlines) all managed to make the top 10.
One notable exception was Qan Matanga of Solbrew who happened to just missed out on the top 10 with 50.15 points, edged by Collin Sigimanu with just .05 points. But with his current form Qan is sure to make a come back and is most likely to be in the top 10 when the next rankings is out.
Below is the full list of all the players that managed to crack into the top 20.
Ate Teraka is the only girl who made it and though currently on 20th position is most likely to improve her raking in the next couple of weeks.
One surprise omission is Wilson Mamae of PMO who has been quite impressive in the last few tournaments.
However his absence in the last couple of competitions could have cost him a place in the top 20 but is a sure place getter in the next rankings if he continues to keep his shots.
Jay Kabei of Dreamline and Joseph Szetu of Telekom were another two goodplayers who did not make the top 20 but are almost certain to make the list in the next couple of weeks.
Mistakes for not putting on proper boots could have cost these two gentlemen a place among the top 20s.
The next rankings will be published next Monday 18th March 2014.
The system uses the same mathematical model applied in FIFA Soccer
Rankings but adapted to suite the current situation.
Home advantage is one factor not considered in the calculations.
