FIVE football teams that will be participating in the inaugural Presidents Cup tournament are able to include national players in their campaign.
The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Competition’s Director Gerald Oiaka confirmed this in a recent Press Conference.
This is aimed at boosting the performance of all participating teams.
“In this competition, all national players will be spread amongst the five teams.
“Following a recent meeting, each clubs should have a maximum of five national players.
“Some teams already have national players, Central Coast has four national players so they need only one player, Waneagu FC has seven players and Solomon Warriors has four players.
“Coach Felipe and his coaching team will help decide which players will help the two provincial teams.
Oiaka added this is a open competition and all teams can also include players from other Telekom S-league (TSL).
The maximum number of players per team is 23 (20 field players and three goal keepers).
