The People’s Alliance Party (PAP) will hold its national convention in Honiara this Saturday, July 19.
Party President, Sir Nathaniel Waena said the national convention will draw all members in Honiara and those from the provinces.
He said it is an important event for the People’s Alliance Party because the national convention will elect members of a new national executive.
Sir Nathaniel said the new executive will take the party to the 2014 National Parliamentary elections later in the year.
He said so far, the PAP secretary general, Edward Kingmele and deputy president, John Harunari, have finished putting together the 2014 election platform and the party’s manifesto which will be presented to the national convention.
The convention will also finalize the selection of PAP candidates to contest the 2014 National Elections.
