A GROUP of concern parents have expressed concern over the delay in releasing this year’s school results.
The parents told the Auki Star office, they cannot wait any longer because the academic year’s commencement is looming.
“We need time to prepare financially. Unless we are sure of our children’s results, we cannot pay school required items in vain.
“This has really troubled us therefore we kindly ask the Ministry of Education to release the results this week,” the parents said.
The parents are frequenting the Auki Star office to ask for school results.
The parents said it is becoming a norm that school results are released late every year.
“Something has to be done by the Ministry to improve on this area.”
The Solomon Star contacted the Ministry and was told the results are ready but are still awaiting the final blessing of the Minister.
NESU director Linda Wate said the Minister has to sign on the results before they are released to the public.
“The results are ready, and we are only waiting for the Minister’s signature.”
Another spokeswoman said the results are expected out this Friday.
