Parikana Football club are the champions of the Guadalcanal Football Association (GFA) futsal championship which ended on Tuesday at the Multipurpose Hall in Honiara.
Parikana sealed their victory after defeating Longu Miracles 4-0 in the grand final match.
Parikana head coach Reggie Ernest is impressed with the result as well as his team’s performance all throughout the championship.
“I am very happy and proud of the boys; they have been impressive in their performances throughout the competition.
“The boys have proven that they can win the tournament despite not having a proper Futsal training venue.
“We will try our best to defend the title in the next championship,” Ernest said.
Longu Miracles finished second with silver medals and cash price, Balanga FC secured third place and GPPol FC on the fourth place.
