TOURISM has a great future in Solomon Islands, says the founder, chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eagon Group of companies Young Ju Park.
Speaking exclusively to the Solomon Star this week, Mr Park said since this is a paradise, tourism is a very important business here.
“One Korean friend of mine once said that Solomon Islands is a paradise apart from all the other countries,” he said.
“Many of my Korean friends have asked me to take them to the Solomon Islands,” he added.
He also told the Solomon Star that Solomon Islands was broadcasted many times in South Korea therefore has attracted bigger interest of foreigners coming here.
“To accommodate this kind of demand in the Solomon Islands, first and foremost was airline services, accommodation, the internal infrastructure and the guiding facilities.
“I hope the government and the tourism sectors have prepared for the future because this will bring more income here and employment so that is good news for this country,” the Eagon boss said.
He said that Solomon Islanders is blessed with all the natural setting and the people are nice.
“If everyone have the same kind of dream to build a paradise here, nothing will be impossible.
“Why not,” he added.
