PARLIAMENT will sit next week on Monday.
This was revealed by Clerk to National Parliament in a service message to all Members of Parliament (MP) last night.
The message advises all MPs to make all effort to attend the sitting schedule for Monday morning.
Its understood the sitting is to discuss and approve the extension of the state of public emergency (SoPE) which will expire at the end of this week.
Cabinet has approved the recommendation from the Oversight Committee.
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare will endorse the recommendation to His Excellency Governor General to declare the extension for a further 4 months.
Following the declaration by GG, Parliament will sit to discuss the declaration.
