Church leader Pastor Kamuel Kaleni says he has nothing to do with the followers that sold their properties.
Mr. Kaleni told Solomon Star office in Auki in an interview last week that he has nothing to do with the followers who have sold their properties recently prior to January 16 the day that his congregation believe the prophesy he proposed will be fulfilled.
“I am not the owner of the properties they sold, and the report that stated that I instructed them to sell their belongings is false and misleading.
“They are the boss of their own properties and if they sold their properties, it means they want some money in exchange for the properties.
“It is not proper to blame me for the action of those who have sold their properties on their own accord.”
“I don’t know who authorized them to do that crazy sale,” he added.
Reports reaching Solomon Star office in Auki claimed that some of Pastor Kaleni’s congregation members have already sold their properties including houses, copper, timbers, kitchen utensils and other stuff for very cheap prices.
The reports claimed that those who sold their properties would have their properties replaced by ship loaded with cargoes was expected to show up in Malaita on January 16.
The expectation failed to fulfill on the proposed day, which put the followers of pastor Kaleni on the spotlight as a subject of tease.
An argument broke out last week at Fulikafo village in Central Kwara’ae when a group of boys teased some of Kaleni’s faithful followers after what they expected on 16 January which did not happen.
