PATHFINDERS throughout the country and around the globe will celebrate the World Pathfinder Day this weekend.
The annual event will be held from Friday to Saturday.
The theme for this year’s celebration is; ‘Lets Change the World.’
The programme will see all the pathfinders come together for fellowship – pray, sing, have Bible studies, share testimonies and listen to inspirational talks.
The celebration will also mark the 72nd year since the inception of the pathfinder club of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The club is a department of the church and it works specifically with the cultural, social and religious education of children and teens. Boys and Girls 10 years and up are members of the club all over the world.
For some pathfinder clubs, they will use this weekend to go camping to allow all the pathfinders to come together and celebrate the day.
The Trans Pacific Union Mission based in Suva, Fiji, which looks after Solomon Islands and other regional countries like Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu has encouraged all the pathfinder clubs within these countries to celebrate the weekend in their own countries through programmes that are in line with the theme.
Pathfinder activities in many countries have been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak over the past two years and the various restrictions that have been imposed denied groups and churches to organise activities involving large numbers of people.
