STAFF members of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Disaster Management and Metrology this week attended a workshop on Performance Process and Attendance Management Policy and Procedures (PPAMP).
The workshop is part of the DCC government new policy on Performance Process and Attendance Management Policy and Procedure PPAMP as it aims at familiarising public servants on how to go about the PPAMP.
Speaking to this paper programme facilitator Doris Sukaria said, the workshop was important in a sense that it will help the MECHDM members to track down key activities to achieve the corporate goal of its ministry.
She said, through this process it will make it easy for staff to keep a track on the performance of staff which according to the new PPAMP Policy will allow the government to reward the outstanding performers in each government ministries for the work done at the end of the year.
She said for so long, some outstanding performing public servants efforts went unnoticed by the government.
“With the new Performance Process and Attendance Management Policy now in place, some hard working public servants will now have some reward at the end of the year.”
The new policy was first implemented back in March this year after it was approved by the DCC government.
“The new policy is very important as it will help each ministry to achieve their goals and objectives and also for the hard working officers to be rewarded for their outstanding performance all year round.”
