PREMIER of Guadalcanal Province, Francis Sade, has reassured other provincial governments in the country that the Guadalcanal Provincial Government will allocate land for them at the Mamara township to promote national unity.
He made the assurance when delivering his keynote address at the Western Province Second Appointed Day celebration held at the FOPA village in Honiara on Wednesday.
“In our new proposed township in Mamara, we will allocate a piece of land for each province, for you to come to build so that we can live and promote national unity at the Guadalcanal Provincial Headquarter.
“We are ready to sub-divide small blocks of land for you to come and develop them,” Premier Sade said.
Premier Sade said the objective is for sister provinces to build a custom house or anything symbolical of their province to represent them.
“This is also part of progressing and rebuilding our country that will unite us as a nation.”
He said once the land is sub-divided, each province can proceed to develop its allocated plot.
