PRIME Minister Manasseh Sogavare will visit the people of Central Islands Province and their executive leaders to mark the 40th anniversary of the 2nd appointed 2nd appointed day in Tulagi the provincial headquarters, Tuesday.
Sogavare has been travelling lately to Isabel and Temotu already upon invitations from the provincial leaders.
He was gracing their celebration and also took time to visit various developments in the provinces.
Central Island Province is the next destination.
Reports reaching the Solomon Star yesterday stated that Central Island Provincial headquarter is preparing for the celebration today.
Activities were planned and some the activities kicked off yesterday to coincide with the big celebration today.
One of the events is Tulagi Challenge hosted in Tulagi which consists of swimming, canoeing and running.
It was designed to promote sportsmanship, health and friendship.
Meanwhile Sogavare will be the guest of honor, he will be delivering the key note address today.
He will take this opportunity to thank the people and government of Central Province for their part in building Solomon Islands.
Sogavare will likely to visit some of the developments in the province and also listening to what the Central islands leaders might want to see the national government on their land.
Central Islands Province has a huge potential for tourism if the government wants to invest in that money making sector.
The province also hosted one of the biggest coconut estates in the country which was owned by Lever’s Pacific back then.
