PRIME Minister Rick Hou and Madam Rachel Hou have met the Queen of England Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace in London.
The Prime Minister and Madam joined other Commonwealth Leaders and their spouses during the opening and official closing ceremony at Buckingham Palace hosted by Queen.
Prior to that, the Queen also had a brief audience with the Prime Minister which she expressed her gratitude to the people of Solomon Islands clearly remembering her visit to Solomon Islands in 1974 and then 1982.
She jokingly said the Prime Minister could be still a young man when she visited back then.
The Prime Minister responded and told the Queen he was still a student doing Form 4 when the Queen visited in 1974.
Prime Minister Hou and Madam were also invited to the Queens 92nd Birthday held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The ceremony was marked as an historic one as Queen Elizabeth also celebrated her birthday as the world’s oldest and longest-reigning living monarch.
