“We should see us as a nation building.”
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare made this statement when he hosted a dinner with Makira and Ulawa provincial government executive and officials.
His pointed that Makira as any other province should not see them as from Makira, a term he used as individual but as Solomon islander.
“Let us see ourselves as Solomon Islanders taking responsibility, starting within the family to government as a nation building,” he said
He said a nation building starts small within us to our environment and to our people. Thus creates an organized society and build a good nation.
“For the last 37 years Solomon Islands once collapse and for the last 13 years is a restoring year for the Solomon Islands. Thus, it a time that the government, churches and chiefs work together to build unity,” the Prime Minister said.
