PRIME Minister Manasseh Sogavare has returned on Tuesday from his weeklong tour to Australia.
Mr Sogavare travelled as guest of the government of Australia.
The highlight of his official visit was receiving the Guardian Class Patrol Boat from the Australian Government, meeting with the Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Energy and Industrial Relations, Bill Johnston MLA from the Government of Western Australia.
During the trip, the Prime Minister was also hosted by the Solomon Islands Western Australian Community.
Prime Minister Sogavare and madam Sogavare was also invited by his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, MP and Mrs Jennifer Morrison for dinner at Kirribilli, the official residence of the Australian Prime Minister in Sydney.
Solomon Islands and Australia share a long standing relation that continues to grow from strength to strength.
