Dear Editor – How can the Prime Minister (PM) move out of his private residence and into the Red House, when his DCC government is paying him good rent for staying in his own residence?
And it is only appropriate that the classic example of ‘to lead is to serve’ YOURSELF FIRST, must be shown by Mr Sogavare as the Head of the DCC government.
He can never fight corruption head on as he pledged.
Parliament should enact a law which amongst other things, forbid leaders who have been provided with official residences to also be entitled to rental provisions.
With the present stubborn PM, Cabinet should enforce his moving onto the Official Residence.
He is already notorious for ignoring the morality of issues as long as they are legal.
His continuing to remain in his private residence and for the government to continue paying him rent may be legal but it is immoral.
His integrity is seriously called into question.
