Solomon Island Port Authority (SIPA) has officially announced the Pacific Maritime Transport Alliance Conference (PMTAC) theme song competition top ten entries on Monday, 5th June, 2023.
The SIPA song competition screening board has announced a total of ten song writers selected as the top ten entries for the 45th Marine Time Transport Alliance Conference (PMTAC) theme song.
In a statement from SIPA said they are thrilled to announce the top ten entries of the song competition.
“We are thrilled to inform you all that the following songwriters and their submissions have been selected for the ten entries for the 45th maritime transports alliance conference theme song competition auditions”, statement said.
“The successful song writers that we selected their upon their submissions for the top ten are as follows; Tura Asasai, James Tuita, Vicky Houopa, James Kauhiona, Derwin Ovita, Augustine Basia, Daniel Onorio, Rockcliffe Manemorusanau, Jammin and Ian Luke Keupo”.
“The next step towards the becoming the winner of this prestigious competition will be the exclusive audition. All the top ten selected entries will go through an exclusive audition where they will showcase their musical prowess and capture the essence of the PMTAC through their composition”, statement added.
“The winner will be selected and announced straight after the exclusive audition which is set for Saturday 10th June 2023 at the SIPA head office auditorium”, statement concluded.
Meanwhile as stated by the SIPA, the winner of the exclusive audition set for this Saturday will be the winner of the competition which means his or her song will be the theme song for the 45th PMTAC.
